NIUM, a startup specializing in gut microbiome research and personalized nutrition, has successfully completed its Seed funding round with the support of BeAngels, LBAN and private investors.

Launched in 2019 as a University of Luxembourg spin-off, NIUM aims to enhance understanding of how food affects the microbiome, driving the creation of healthier nutritional ingredients and personalized health solutions.

Led by BeAngels and supported by LBAN and a group of private investors, NIUM has successfully closed a six-digit Seed round. With funding, the healthtech will accelerate its product development, scale commercialization, and support international growth.

“This funding allows us to push the limits of microbiome research and scale our platform to help companies and researchers develop better nutrition products.”

CEO and founder Alberto Noronha.

This round of funding is a key step toward making personalized nutrition more accessible and improving metabolic health through advanced microbiome science.
