During the 2024 Fit 4 Start Graduate Showcase held at Luxexpo The Box, during the major tech event Nexus 2050, the call for applications for the 15th edition of the Fit 4 Start programme was officially opened.
All start-ups face three main challenges: ensuring their product/market fit, developing their team and finding funding. The Fit 4 Start acceleration programme has been designed to cover all three of these issues and help the startups move forward and mature in each field.
Until 12 August at noon, startups from around the world, active in the fields of health technologies, digital, and space, can apply to hope to participate in the next edition. Only 20 of them will finally be selected at the end of the selection process that will be announced next October, during the Luxembourg Venture Days. Fit 4 Start programme offers selected companies specialised support for six months, along with €50,000 in funding each from the Ministry of the Economy, provided they incorporate in Luxembourg.
Those companies that also graduate from the programme, succeed in raising funds and employing at least two employees may receive an additional €100,000 in state aid.
More than 3,000 applications since 2015
Initiated in 2015 by the Ministry of the Economy, Fit 4 Start is managed by Luxinnovation in collaboration with Technoport, the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA), the Luxembourg City Incubator, the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity and LuxProvide.
Since its inception, nearly 3,000 startups have applied to join this programme, with almost half coming from Luxembourg.
“Fit 4 Start combines a group approach with personalised coaching adapted to each startup,” explains Sven Baltes, Manager – Start-up Relations at Luxinnovation. “Participants become part of a vibrant and international community of startups that often use Luxembourg as a launchpad for reaching European and global markets.” Interested startups can apply directly via the page www.fit4start.com.
